The BARC are delighted to have the opportunity to take over the reins of the very competitive 2013 SAXMAX Championship, this Junior championship is for 14 to 17 year olds, Through out the year BARC is organising SAXMAX LIVE, to give this year's potential drivers aged between 13 to 17 the opportunity to experience the performance and thrill of a race-prepared Citroen Saxo as raced in the Club's SAXMAX Championship. The Championship takes place at major UK motor racing circuits including Brands Hatch and Silverstone and is run with other BARC championships at its race meetings there will be 13 rounds over 7 weekends in 2013 Saxmax has been the proving ground for a number of competitors who have then gone on to have success in other things as they became able to compete in senior championships, after reaching the age of sixteen. These include Daniel Brown who is currently driving a Ferrari in the GT Championship, Leyton Clarke who went on to win the Dunlop SportMax Championship and competed against fellow SAXMAX driver Abbie Eaton, as well as regular Renault UK Clio Cup competitors Aaron Williamson, James Colburn, Ant Whorton-Eales and Josh Cook.
The 2013 championship should prove to be as exciting as previous years with a well balanced calendar and the desire from everyone involved to bring greater numbers to the championship during the season.
